Fairly unknown
german outfit that only released this record before they disappeared again.
A nice Fantasy-cover demands immediate attention, showing a hawk trying
to steal a golden ring from a bloody fist. This is misleading, not rough
Speed or Power Metal is immortalized on this vinyl, but typical Heavy Metal
with a strong AOR touch. Some tracks offer pure Heavy Rock with quite nice
refrains (>Born to Fly<), others are more powerful and heavy as the
title-track, or the epic >Goddess of the Dark<. The melody-lines are
all good (for example listen to the catchy >Nowhere to Go<), the vocals
are pleasent and so this record will be a good catch if you're not only
into Power Metal or beyond. I have not seen the album in any list since
years, so the value is totally estimated.
Concluding I recommend this pretty nice record to people like my metal-brother
Stefan from the glorious Metalpage
who also adore Heavy Music that does not cause total destruction in the
neighbourhood. |
